Introductory note
POEM is the Pan-Cypriot Organization of Independent Professional Architects and Civil Engineers. All Free Professionals registered under the Architects or Civil Engineers Law can become its members, who maintain an Office alone or in partnership with other scholars and offer as self-employed for a fee scholarly and consulting services to the public or the state / semi-state sector in general.
It is with great pleasure that we now create the POEM Website with the main goal of direct communication between our Organization, of our members, of our potential members Architects and Civil Engineers Freelance Professionals and the public in general.
Aims and objectives of POEEM:
Purposes of POEM are among others:
- The protection and safeguarding of the profession of self-employed Researchers.
- Raising the prestige of the profession.
- Improving the level of services offered to the public in the state and semi-state sectors.
- The promotion of the legal definition of the responsibilities of the Architect and Civil Engineer.
- Adherence to professional ethics.
- To promote the interests of members and to promote the establishment of legally defined pay scales.
- Cooperation with other scientific organizations.
- The continuous modernization of the Laws & of Town Planning Regulations, About Roads and Buildings and their correct application, so as not to hinder the development of the place etc.
Means of achieving goals & goals

- Vesting of our rights.
- Special Register of Researchers.
- Rewards, terms of employment.
- Seminars.
- Editions of Contracts etc.
- Help to our members etc.
- Terms of Assignment of Work, vesting of fee by order / agreement and free agreement when signing the Order to Technician.
Our indemnity for liability:
- Amendment of Laws & Regulations for the assumption of responsibility by the specialist Engineers in a project for their study and supervision.
- Through supervision it will be requested from the other specialist Engineers, the contractors and subcontractors' statements of responsibility for their work and the materials they used.
